Celebrating my Retirement

Yesterday was a great day.  Myself and 3 of my sister-in-laws spent the day together.  We first went for a pedicure.  Check out our toes,

We had lunch together and then went shopping.  We all had a great time. Thank you so much for the special day.

Car Show in Roanoke, VA June 25, 2011

We went to Roanoke and drove my husbands 67 Chevy II to the show.  Wonderful weather and get time with new and old friends.

I retired from Teaching

It has now been over a week since I retired.  It has been wonderful and I am very happy.  I spent many hours in my sewing room last week.  Finished the binding on 2 quilts and have another quilt ready to do the hand sewing on the binding.

Hope to be more active with the blog now that I am retired.  Hoping it will inspire me.  I love checking out all the blogs.

Finding my quilts to post to the blog

Today I have tried to take pictures of many of my quilts to share on the blog.  Also took time to clean up the sewing room and finish as few things.  Not any quilting going on today.  I must put something on the machine so I can play.
